| What is SprogII SprogII is a software program that will allow you to program Syntor, SyntorX and MCX100 radios. It will not program SyntorX9000, or MCX1000 radios as these require a RIB Card and the RSS software. So if it is programming your Syntor, SyntorX, or MCX-100 radio you have come the the right place! SprogII is available in two version, the HAM version and the COMMERCIAL version. The are identical except that the HAM version will not be able to transmit into any commercial frequencies. The HAM version will reveive the commercial frequencies. The cost for these are below! SprogII Supports the Following Features PL/CTCSS Programming, DPL Programming, Multi-PL Head, Muting Types, Scan Modes and Types, Priority Scan, Talkback, Talk Timer, Extender, Mode Re-Ordering, Printing CLICK HERE TO SEE THE SCREEN SHOTS! Some models don't support all the features, and most features are supported, but not all, Inquire about your radios if you have questions. The SyntorX supports the most, then the MCX100, then the Syntor. SprogII save the information in its own format that has the ability to save channel comments and other radio comments. It also include a HEX file viewer for snooping around in the image, and Image merger that will allow manipulation of binary images for creating your own hack PROMS. Program Requirements SprogII is a Windows Program, and requires Windows 95 or better. It will not run under MS-DOS or WINDOWS 3.1. SprogII will generate hex files in 3 formats for YOUR PROM BURNER - INTEL HEX, MOTOROLA S19, and PLAIN JANE BINARY. You can use most any PROM burner that can read one of the above formats (most any can!). Prom Burner is NOT included. Things that SprogII does not do SprogII does not have the ability to read in an existing prom. For any radios. SprogII does not have the ability to make a radio go out of band if the radio won't do it, it will program it out of the suggested range, but it may require tuning or VCO tweeks. SprogII will not program 800mhz trunked or conventional SyntorX. It has the 800mhz option but it does not currently work. Inquire if you have one that you want to get working, especially if you can figure out how to get it on the ham bands. NEW IT Now supports High/Low Power on SyntorX Some of the odd radios have not been tested, but most any radios that can be moved to the ham bands have been. The Cost The cost for the HAM version is FREE!!! See my www.gtsparkplugs.com/links The cost for the Commercial Version is $150 delivered via EMAIL If you want a disk sent out, add $5 for Shipping and Handling SEND QUESTIONS TO ME BY EMAIL. And decided that I needed a way to program it. After checking the web for software I found SPROG which was a DOS based sofware. It worked somewhat, but not all that well. I also found Paul Bennets N7OCS's DOS programming software and bought them. It worked much better, but I disliked the fact that it was a DOS program and somewhat limited. I created SprogII with information from Paul and many others with the idea that it would be very simple, and support most all features, and ranges of Syntor, SyntorX, and MCX100 radios. About the only thing that I didn't do was to make it read back the binary from a prom (Read as too much work!). SprogII was written in Borland's C++ Builder, and is a stand alone EXE file, with not too much requirements to run, no DLL's, just the SprogII file and the Help. |
