This is the RIB Card in all its glory

NEW VERSION 2.0

The BOTTOM  LEFT is an RJ45 connector so you can use a standard network cable to connect to radios like the Maxtrac without the need for expensive cables. The Switch on the BOTTOM LEFT is the BIAS switch that is to be turned on when using the RJ45 style cables. For DB25 cables this should be 'OFF'. The Switch on the Bottom Right is the power switch. Both switches are shown in the OFF position.  The PCB size is 3"x4". On board 9 volt batter compartment and DC Power Jack are provided.

The RIB card is used to connect up most later model Motorola Radios to the PC for programming. The RIB card connect the PC to the RADIO. The Connection from the PC to the RIB card on this board uses a standard DB25 Connector, and can plug into a standard modem cable to the computer. The output from the card can go to any standard motorola DB25 Cable OR the RJ45 cable for radios like the MAXTRAC that support this interface connector. To use the RJ45 you must switch the BIAS SWITCH to the On position, for all other connections useing the DB25, the BIAS SWITCH should be in the off (left) position.

The RIB board was assembled with all parts from Mouser Electronics, the web site is
www.mouser.com and a parts list is included with the correct part numbers.
